Being troubled by corona-based restrictions and recurring fears of getting infected, we easily forget that in a lot of countries there exist the much bigger problems.
Norbu Ling just received pictures from the Tibetan monastery Serpom in South India, where the monks, despite of their own shortages, have organized a supply with oil, rice and lentils for the Tibetans living in the area around the monastery and for thousands of desperate Indian families.
Neither the Tibetans in the camps currently have any income, nor the Indian families, who mostly lead a hand-to-mouth existence with one person working as a day labourer. At the moment, because of Corona, there is no work any more. The people have no food and face serious need!
We therefore request for donations, which we will send to the monastery. The monks will forward the money and arrange everything else.
